Wet Sunday

by Matteo Catanese

"'Wet Sunday' is a series I captured with my iPhone from a window of a coffee shop in Williamsburg, Brooklyn. Every Sunday I'd sit in the same spot while enjoying my cappuccino. It was during winter when I noticed there was some condensation on the glass so I started taking few close-up shots of the texture. Then suddenly few silhouettes walked in front of me and that's when magic happened. I started capturing them and I became obsessed about looking for the right perspective, body language and outfit. The wet glass texture was a tiny but essential detail that made the series looking it was oil painted on canvas."
