Editor’s note

Currant began during the pandemic, at a time when the world felt uncertain and strangely still. What started as a small idea — to create something beautiful, thoughtful and tangible — somehow grew into far more than we could have imagined.

It has been a dream journey, and at times a wild ride. We went from putting together our very first issue to seeing Currant carried by 88 stores around the world. Along the way, we worked with people we admired, told stories we cared about, travelled, created, learned, changed our minds and figured things out as we went.

Then life changed, too. As did I.

After a long pause, it felt right not simply to pick up where we left off, but to begin a new chapter.

Currant is becoming A Love Letter To — a new title, and a new way of looking at the things we have always loved: people, places, objects, ideas, culture, food, beauty and the small things that make a season feel like itself.

In many ways, it is a continuation of what Currant has always been. But it also gives us the freedom to evolve, to be more personal, more curious and more intentional about what we choose to put into the world.

Thank you to everyone who has been part of Currant over the years — whether you bought an issue, stocked the magazine, contributed to it, worked with us, or simply followed along.

We hope you’ll come with us into what comes next.

Continue to follow our journey at A Love Letter To.
